This one is pretty ancient but it was a fun project. To create a unique experience for the movie launch, fans were invited to create a personalized music video for Moby's lead track from the film. Connecting with Facebook let users pick one of their friends to rescue, mirroring the film's storyline. Names and photos from Facebook, addresses (via the Google Maps Street View api) and scenes from the film were cut together into a music video, telling a unique story for each person. Does that sound complicated? It was.
One of the things that made this project really interesting was that the interface was unique to each user – the background was a (stylized) Google Map using each user's address that animated as the video played through..
